Current Research and Interests
I am interested in action perception and execution and I use non-invasive imaging techniques such as functional MRI to investigate how these two systems interact. Until recently, I have been working on upper limb movements in order to try and identify whether they may be mirror neurone-like networks in the human brain and how this network responds to different kinds of actions. I now work on speech production and perception and my work is focused on auditory motor interactions. I am currently looking at somatotopy in the auditory- motor system and at the how modulating input to the auditory system modulates motor output using delayed auditory feedback.
