jimparkinson@me.com )
Time: 2.30pm-4.00pm
Location:
Basement Seminar Room (B10),
UCL Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience,
17 Queen Square, WC1N 3AR
Course Details:
This course is aimed at research students who have little or no experience with MATLAB or the toolboxes commonly used for cognitive neuroscience and functional imaging analysis. This course addresses practical aspect of using MATLAB and is presented in a seminar setting. The course comprises three main components split across the three academic terms covering 1) basic programming 2) running standard psychological experiments using (a) Cogent and (b) Psychtoolbox 3) advanced methods for data analysis with MATLAB.
UCL Graduate students MUST register via the graduate school from 27 th Sept:
UCL researchers may also attend but there is no requirement for them to register and is dependent on space being available – priority will go to registered UCL students.
PLEASE NOTE: Novice MATLAB users would benefit highly from applying items covered in the course material in a computer setting between seminars and practicing MATLAB coding using the example tasks provided.
