Christian Ruff, PhD Student

cv, c.ruff @ ucl. ac. uk

I currently study top-down mechanisms of selective attention in the human brain, with a focus on interactions between remote brain regions. Methods include fMRI, the combination of on-line TMS and fMRI, and some elementary psychophysics and patient work.

Margarita Sarri, PhD Student

cv, m.sarri @ ucl. ac. uk

Currently conducting behavioural studies with brain damaged patients presenting visuospatial neglect. Assessing the role of attentional factors in modulating neglect severity and testing a new rehabilitation method involving adaptation to prisms. Also conducting fMRI studies with extinction patients investigating the neural basis of  the attentional modulation of extinction.

Elliot Freeman, Postdoctoral Fellow

cv, e.freeman @ ucl. ac. uk

Psychophysics and fMRI studies of visual context integration: investigating how our awareness of alternative interpretations of ambiguous visual stimuli depends on the present visual surroundings and also on non-visual behavioural goals or attentional states.

Joy Geng, Postdoctoral Fellow

cv, j.geng @ ucl. ac. uk

Behavioral, fMRI and patient studies of visual attention, particularly the role of competition and stimulus regularities in modulating selection.
