Current Research and Interests

Why do place cells respond where and when they do? What factors contribute to a notion of context? What can architecture of the hippocampus tell us about its function? I use electrophysiological and computational modelling to address these questions and ultimately aim to achieve an understanding of spatial representation in the hippocampus.
