Current Research and Interests

I am interested in the study of brain systems that control behaviour in humans and other animals. My research is aimed to study the processes involved in the valuation of different options in simple laboratory conditions and their interaction with motivational aspects such as vigor and novelty. I use computational approaches to better characterize the behavioural paradigms used in healthy volunteers. I also make use of fMRI technology in combination with pharmachological manipulations of neuromodulators such as dopamine and serotonin.
